On July 16th, to mark the start of early voting in Tennessee, the Bill Haslam for Governor campaign kicked off a statewide bus tour. The tour will last until August 5, which is primary day in Tennessee, and will criss-cross the state over the next three weeks.

On June 25th, for the 15th consecutive year, LogiCom produced the Tennessee Republican Party's annual Statesman's Dinner.

This year's event featured Tennessee's Congressional delegation, the 3 remaining Republican candidates for Governor, and keynote speaker, Minnesota Governor, and potential 2012 Presidential candidate, Tim Pawlenty.

More than $650,000 was raised at the event which was attended by 1,450 people.

On May 24th, LogiCom produced the annual kick-off for the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration's "Click It or Ticket' seatbelt campaign. Participating this year was Secretary of Transportation, Ray LaHood; NHTSA Administrator, David Strickland; and several Chiefs of Police from DC, VA and MD.

On May 18th, LogiCom produced a summit on "Auto Communities and the Next Economy" sponsored by The Brookings Institution, the White House Council on Automotive Communities and Workers, The US Department of Labor and the Ford Foundation.

The gathering, in Washington, DC, featured presentations by a host of leaders from government, the private sector and the philanthropic community, including Director of the National Economic Council, Larry Summers; Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis; eight members of the US House and Senate; Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm; the Mayors of Detroit, Shreveport and Youngstown; the President of the Ford Foundation, among others.

In March, LogiCom helped manage the "Jobs4TN Tour" for Tennessee Republican gubernatorial candidate, Bill Haslam.

The tour encompassed counties across the entire state and included factory visits, business roundtables, and meetings with small business owners and community leaders.

On March 22nd, LogiCom produced the annual March Dinner for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

More than 1,800 attended the event which was held at DC's historic National Building Museum and featured Fox News commentator, Sean Hannity, former Bush White House Spokeswoman, Dana Perino, and Grammy-winning artist, Ray Stevens.

On December 19th, LogiCom produced "Hughen Christmas of Hope," a Christmas concert fundraiser for the Hughen Center in Beaumont, TX. The show, starring B.J. Thomas, comedian Dick Hardwick, and singer Zona Jones was held at the beautiful, historic Julie Rogers Theater.

The Hughen Center is a home for boys and girls with physical handicaps and disabilities (www.hughencenter.org).

On December 10th, LogiCom produced the Merry Mercy Christmas Benefit at the Loew's Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN.

The event was a fundraiser for Mercy Ministries (www.MercyMinistries.org), a wonderful organization that provides valuable help to girls and young women. The event featured 3-time Grammy winning group, Jars of Clay as well as Tommy Sims, the Grammy-winning songwriter (Eric Clapton's "Change the World") and Academy Award winning producer (Bruce Springsteen's "Streets of Philadelphia").

On December 7th, 2009, LogiCom produced the annual press conference for the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and the US Department of Transportation's holiday drunk driving campaign.

On October 22nd, The Partnership for Prescription Assistance reached the milestone of helping the 6 Millionth patient in the four years since the program's launch. The "Help is Here" tour has visited more than 3,000 cities and traveled in excess of 350,000 miles in its quest to reach all uninsured and under-insured Americans.

Today's event, held in Harrisburg, PA, featured one of the PPA's spokesmen, Pittsburgh Steeler great, Jerome "The Bus" Bettis pictured with LogiCom's Steve Robinson (bottom photo) who has managed logistics and staffing for the 2-bus nationwide tour since the program's kick-off in April of 2005. Ken Johnson, Senior VP, PhRMA, has directed the PPA's efforts and is pictured with Mr. Bettis in the top photo.

From August 4-11, LogiCom's Steve Robinson accompanied Steve Wariner to Europe for shows in Germany and Holland. Wariner performed for U.S. troops at Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany. After the show, Wariner and Robinson were presented spurs and honored with membership into the "Wolfpack Order of the Silver Spur" by LTC Bryan Denny, Commander of the 3rd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment.

Later in the week, Wariner also performed at the Floralia Festival in Oosterhout, Holland.

On July 26th, LogiCom produced a press conference at the US Department of Transportation to announce the new CARS program, also known as "Cash for Clunkers." On July 25th, for the 14th consecutive year, LogiCom produced the annual Tennessee Republican Party's Statesman's Awards. This year's event was attended by 1,400 Tennesseans and raised $600,000 for the party. Speakers for the night included the four Republican candidates for Governor, the TN Congressional Delegation and US Senator from Alabama, Jeff Sessions.

During the week of July 12-19, LogiCom once again produced the annual meeting of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, this year held in Reno, NV. Steve Tolman served as overall Conference Producer while LogiCom's Mindy Benson and Stephanie McMahan were also onsite filling major production roles. Superstars Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus made a Christmas visit to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. They were there to visit with patients and to deliver a $60,000 check to the Vanderbilt Eskind Diabetes Clinic. The donation was made on behalf of Billy by longtime LogiCom client, The Fraternal Order of Eagles. Over the years they have donated more than $300,000 to Vanderbilt's pediatric diabetes research and treatment programs.

On Sept 17th, LogiCom produced the 2008 Ronald Reagan Freedom Awards. The event featured Nancy Reagan, Cindy McCain, Sen. Diane Feinstein and honored former Soviet dissident, Natan Sharansky, who was imprisoned in the Soviet gulags for nearly a decade only to be released, in large part, due to the private efforts of Ronald Reagan. The event benefited the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Foundation.

On May 10th, for the sixth time, LogiCom served as Entertainment Consultant to the San Antonio Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Promise Gala. This year's record-breaking fundraiser featured The Beach Boys.

On May 2nd & 3rd LogiCom client Steve Wariner performed two concerts in Dallas: a sold-out show at Cowboys Red River and the 30th Anniversary of the Irving Healthcare Foundation Gala. The latter raised more than $250,000 for the medical needs of underpriveleged children.

Wariner continues to draw huge crowds everytime he performs. His XM Artist Confidential show will air on XM2 on Monday, May 12th.

Marking the 3-year anniversary of the program, during the week of April 7, the PPA Bus Tour featured 10 events in the state of Illinois with Emmy-winning actor, Joe Pantoliano ("Joey Pants") and Jerry Mathers of “Leave it to Beaver” television fame.

The entire week was a tremendous success with hundreds of patients visiting the bus to learn about presciption assistance programs. The two buses on the PPA Bus Tour continue to visit more than 20 cities per week all across the country.

On July 19th, LogiCom's Mindy Benson produced a charity concert headlined by Glen Campbell. The show, sponsored by The Leavitt Insurance Group, and held at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, was attended by 3,000 people, and saw 3 tons of food collected for "Care and Share." This year marked the fourth year LogiCom has produced this event for Leavitt.

During the week of July 14th, LogiCom once again produced the annual convention of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, this year held in Spokane, WA. The weeklong conference was attended by approximately 4,000 members. LogiCom was responsible for producing multiple daily business sessions as well as multiple shows. This year's entertainment featured: Tony Orlando, Ann Jillian, The Lettermen, The Rat Pack, Taylor Ware, and Moore & Moore.

On June 30th, for the 4th year, LogiCom served as Entertainment Director the annual Fourth of July celebration for the town of Boaz, Alabama.

This year, The Oak Ridge Boys drew more than 25,000 people, the largest crowd in the event's history.

On June 18th, 2007, LogiCom produced the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Children's Congress performance staged on the west front of the US Capitol. This biannual event features approximately 150 patients representing every state in the country.

This year's event also included country superstars Trisha Yearwood and Steve Wariner along with actress Mary Tyler Moore. Also performing was 2006 American Idol finalist, Elliott Yamin (on left in top photo), who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 16 and has signed on with JDRF to serve as a celebrity advocate on the organization's behalf.

2007 marked the fourth consecutive JDRF performance that LogiCom has had the honor of producing.

On June 12th, Montel Williams and the PPA bus tour visited Greensburg, KS, the town that was destroyed by a massive tornado on May 4th. VP of PhRMA, Ken Johnson, Sr. presented to the local hospital, a check for $25,000 donated by America's pharmaceutical manufacturers. Additionally, the bus delivered more than $10,000 worth of supplies, everything from medical supplies to pillows to laptop computers and coffee makers. The experience was unforgettable and the devastation was all but complete-- but the spirit of the town's citizens was truly inspiring in the face of such devastation.

On July 21st, LogiCom produced the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Staged at Washington DC's historic DAR Constitution Hall, the event was keynoted by Vice President Dick Cheney and featured rising country artist and former veteran, Craig Morgan, along with veterans from every branch of the service and every conflict since World War I. LogiCom has been contracted to manage the Partnership for Prescription Assistance "Help is Here” Bus Tour. The tour, scheduled to visit the 48 contiguous states over the next six months, officially kicked off in the nation's capital on May 4, 2005.

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance will help people without prescription coverage get the medications they need. Through the program, many will be able to obtain their prescription drugs for free or nearly free.

The event which drew more than 30,000 people to the National Mall in Washington, DC, was chaired by baseball Hall-of-Famer, Cal Ripken, Jr. This marked the second consecutive year that LogiCom has produced this event.

As such, we oversaw all aspects of participation in New York City for nearly 1,000 donors. This included registration, hotel management, transportation, events, entertainment, and security.

Over the five days, LogiCom produced more than 30 events including a concert at Lincoln Center; events at Trump National Golf Club and the US Open, and receptions at the New York Stock Exchange, Tavern on the Green, Sotheby's Auction House, 21, and Le Cirque. LogiCom also designed a secure 24-page Web portal used exclusively to market the Convention to attendees. On-site, LogiCom maintained a staff of 13 full-timers and a production team of more than 25 in support of our efforts in New York City.

  • On Aug. 30th, we produced country superstar, Martina McBride, at the Roseland Ballroom for an event that raised more than $250,000 for the Georgia-based Camp Sunshine, which assists children with cancer and their families.
  • On September 1, LogiCom produced an event at Rockefeller Plaza for the World of Hope Charities, a foundation that raises money for Aids around the world. The event which featured super duo Brooks & Dunn (photo at left), as well as Bono, from the rock band U2, and the Harlem Gospel Choir. The event raised more than $3 million for 6 charities around the world.

In early August, LogiCom's Steve Tolman directed, a week-long conference and convention for the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Held this year in Buffalo, New York, the conference featured appearances by Lorrie Morgan, Billy Ray Cyrus, Sara Evans, Collin Raye and Connie Stevens.

On the last day of the convention, Tolman was inducted into the FOE Hall of Fame, joining such luminaries as President Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope, Wayne Newton and Danny Thomas.

JBPatton.jpg - 34.73 KOn July 28th, LogiCom's Mindy Benson directed an event at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah. The emotional "Welcome Home to the Troops" featured an inspirational keynote address by Joe Bonsall, longtime member of The Oak Ridge Boys and author of the true and gripping WWII love story "GI Joe and Lillie."

Bonsall addressed some 1500 members of Utah's 388th Fighter Wing who have been patrolling the No-Fly Zone in Iraq since 1991, along with 20 veterans of WWII including Utah's only living Medal of Freedom winner and two soldiers who, like Bonsall's father Pvt. Joseph S. Bonsall, stormed Utah Beach in Normandy on D-Day.

On June 22nd and 23rd, LogiCom produced two events for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: the "5K Walk to Cure Diabetes" and a performance on the US Capitol Grounds by country superstar Steve Wariner and a childrens choir comprised of 200 diabetic children from across the country. In addition to LogiCom Steve Robinson producing the performance, LogiCom's Steve Tolman directed the children's choir.

On June 18th and 19th, LogiCom produced two nights of concerts in Chicago for the Handleman Group.

Also on June 18th, LogiCom produced a Rita Coolidge concert in Vancouver for the Leavitt Insurance Group.

On June 17th, LogiCom produced the first event of the 2004 Bush for President campaign event. The Washington, DC reception raised nearly $4 million dollars for the President's re-election effort.

On June 7th, LogiCom also produced (for the seventh time) the Tennessee Republican Party's annual Statesman's Awards Dinner. This year's event, which honored former Senator and actor, Fred Thompson, featured a video tribute produced by LogiCom.

Also on June 7th, LogiCom again served as Production Manager for The Komen National Race for the Cure® 2003, which raised nearly $2.5 million for breast cancer research and is the world's largest 5K foot race.

On May 21st, LogiCom again served as Entertainment Consultant to the 2003 President's Dinner which featured The Oak Ridge Boys who performed for President George W. Bush and 6,500 guests.

On March 24th, LogiCom produced The Salute to the New Majority for the National Republican Senatorial Committee which featured a performance by the "Godfather of Soul," James Brown, as well as a keynote speech from the Senate Majority Leader, Senator Bill Frist.

2002:

In December, LogiCom produced five press conferences for the tourist boards of Bermuda, St. Kitts, Belize, Turks and Caicos and Barbados. These press conferences announced inaugural non-stop service by USAirways.

In November, LogiCom directed the Republican Business Leaders International Delegation on its mission to Paris, Madrid and Rome.

For the 2002 elections, LogiCom was proud to work in the successful campaigns of U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander and Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn.

On October 8, LogiCom produced two political events for the President of the United States, George W. Bush: a luncheon fundraiser in Knoxville, TN for the Hilleary for Governor campaign and a Washington, DC dinner.

As a result of their role as Production Manager for the Komen National Race for the Cure, LogiCom was asked to assist in the production of "The President's Fitness Challenge" which took place at Ft. McNair on June 22, 2002.

On June 1st, LogiCom served as Production Manager for the second time at this year's Komen National Race for the Cure, the largest 5K foot race in the world, featuring more than 70,000 participants.

On May 29th, LogiCom produced the Tennessee Statesmen's Dinner at the Nashville Convention Center where Vice President of the United States Dick Cheney was the evening's featured speaker. More than 2,000 people attended the event. Read more:

On March 1, 2002, LogiCom produced "Ronald Wilson Reagan -- A Tribute to Freedom" for the National Republican Senatorial Committee which featured Lady Margaret Thatcher as the keynote speaker. In connection with this event, Steve Robinson also produced a video entitled "The City Still Shines" which featured such luminaries as: President George W. Bush, former President Bush, Wayne Newton, and Charlton Heston along with many others. This film was subsequently honored with the prestigious Telly Award for non-broadcast videos.

In 2002, LogiCom produced the annual Gala for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in both San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas. Both events enjoyed record attendance as well as monies raised to benefit the nonprofit.

2001:

In December of 2001, LogiCom was involved with the Washington, DC special advanced screening of "ALI." The event featured The Champ, himself, and was a fundraiser for the Muhammad Ali Center.
